Week One, Session Two

Run 1 minute. Walk 2 minutes. Do this 9 times.

I think it turned out to be a good thing that I had two days of rest. I felt much better about running today because my muscles weren't screaming as loudly. I didnt give myself time to get settled, which always kills my ambition. I ate a yogurt and some sunflower seeds when I got home and then I headed right back out. I didn't run right away - I actually didn't start my run until 9:30pm because I was playing with baby goats - but skipping the loitering at home step kept my motivation up.

It went pretty smoothly. I think starting out with the "Oh, it's just a short run today, easy peasy!" mentality helped a bit. I'm not sure if I got another blister or just irritated the old one (hopefully the latter), I'll have to remember to put a bandaid on next time. My shins were hurting a little bit, so I paid a lot of attention to how I was running and made sure I was stepping gently. I'll have to watch that - like I think I've mentioned before, I'm absolutely paranoid about injuries.
